Depends on the meal, you can get a veggie plate for around 8$ or a big meal for an average of 12$. Regardless for the quality you wont be disappointed.
They are closed today, will open tomorrow at 11am. I would give them a call.
Yes and its a great environment,,, no karaoke though,, lol, But still good food.....
I took my family here for a pre-mother’s day dinner. The staff was pleasant but the restaurant’s condition and food were a bit disappointing. The live music was a nice touch. We were seated at a table where a previous diner’s salad was left under the table. I looked around and the carpet and tables were not kept as clean as it should. I ordered the crab cakes and my wife ordered a dinner-portion salad. After waiting a long time (the server apologized for this) my wife received an unattractive plate of iceberg lettuce with a few pieces of chicken thrown in. My two crab cakes were over cooked and bland. The funny thing was the two tiny pieces of lettuce on the plate as a garnish. It was comical. My kids had tenders and fries and I must admit, they were pretty good. Overall, the place could probably use a remodeling and some attention to keeping the areas clean.
First time trying PJ's yesterday and I can definitely say I was quite surprised! The person who took our take-out order was VERY friendly and quite patient with us even though we had a huge order. Since it was our first time we weren't quite sure what to order so we asked for recommendations and NONE of us were disappointed. If you like home cooked meals then this is the place for you. Everything seems to be made fresh and was still hot even when we got back home with it! The country friend steak, fried okra, mashed potatoes, and pepper gravy reminded me of my great grandmother's and brought back so many memories. Not to mention the fried cauliflower and fried green tomatoes were excellent! Thanks for a great experience and taking me back on memory lane. Call for a more up to date menu because the people who they got to do their online menu hasn't updated it.
The interior has been refinished ( still old country feel ). The same great staff. Normally I give food 5 stars. Yesterday's visit was more like 2 star food.
LOVE the fried cauliflower💓 everything is good, service too, but miss the mural of Mcdonough,.
Stopped in for lunch on a Friday while working in the area and it was wonderful. The staff was super nice and accommodating, even whipping up some egg salad for my friend who is vegetarian! I had a ham and cheese sandwich on a croissant and it was delicious. Service was quick so it was perfect for a short break in our work day, but we wished we could stay longer to hang out in the comfortable dining area and enjoy the wine list!
Me and my wife went there for the first time the other day. the bartender and server with a really nice and answered every question that we had and we had a lot. We ordered a mixed drink which was not water down and was mix very well in order the country fried steak and gravy with mashed. I would have to say that was the best meal I've had in a very long time. Their food and hospitality made me very happy I even tipped the cook. I can't wait to go back.
I really enjoyed our visit here. Good wine and good food, great service. Pretty standard pricing, given the location.
Very nice restaurant with decent food and great athmosphere! While we had a good dinner, the highlight was definitely the live music. It was not crowded at all (late night during the week), but still kept up. The only downside was that the servants weren't really doing their best considering we were pretty much the only ones there and there was quite a few of them there. Overall great experience though!
Perfect corner dinner, Paul and staff are great
The staff is very kind towards the customers, the coffees are delicious and the prices are decent.
We had a large party around thanksgiving. PJ's exceeded all our expectations. They had something that everyone liked and the food was great!
The waitress Callie - Kallie was great.
I tried this place in the past with a friend and I am obsessed since then. I liked the excellent character and fresh dishes and beverages. Great work.
PJ's on the square in Mcdonough. Chef Paul is awesome. Everything on the menu is great. Been coming here for years!
Nice variety of items on the menu.
Our waiter was very attentive and nice. She had good recommendations on food. The food is a bit pricier but worth the price for the quality and service. There is a mural of McDonough inside that is cool to look at and the live music was fantastic.
Really enjoyed this neighborhood gem. Great central location right in the downtown McDonough area on the corner with nearby street parking. Friendly staff and a clean environment. The Broccoli Cheddar soup was warm and filling. Definitely recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I walked into 1992. But exceptional customer service. The restaurant is a bit dated with decor. The top of the walls have a beautiful mural of the square of McDonough. To be honest I can't really tell you the specific cuisine. They have everything from crab cakes to chicken Alfredo. Today I order the tuna croissant with a side of homemade chips. The tuna was good, the chips were better. The tuna only had celery, onion and mayonnaise. I also had a bowl of lobster bisque D E L I C I O U S!! My wife ordered crab cakes and they were descent. We were served by Amanda who was very kind and waited on us with great attention. Definetly one of those quick lunch spots. I'm assuming because we visited on a Saturday afternoon we had live music. It was performed by a nice guy with a guitar. Great experience overall..... oh yeah, they serve warm bread and butter as a part of meal.
Super friendly staff, always seated quickly, great place to bring kids.
The food here was as good as any place, I got the Philly cheese steak with fried green tomatoes. The sandwich was good the tomatoes were cut thick so they got a little soggy. Definitely not worth how expensive it is to eat here!
I’ve always heard good reviews about this place. Decided to give it a try and it was not what I expected. It was basically instant, canned and fried food with a hefty price tag. With all the other good food opening up around the McDonough Square, this place will need to step it up to stay open.
First time there. The filet mignon was outstanding!
I was doing a search on something to do with Potato Chips. I came across an unbelievably mouth watering picture of a dish on PJ's menu. I decided to take a trip with my wife to visit them. I'm glad I did. From the minute we got there we were engaged with the atmosphere. Outside the place, there's a Chef's statue with a lot of character. If you put something like that out front, your food better be awesome. Which it was. I ordered the potato chips dish, my wife ordered an avocado, sprout sandwich. Both of them were so good that we spent time slapping each other's hands away from grabbing what was on each others' plates. All of it was really great. The customer service was fantastic as well. If you're headed anywhere near Stockbridge, Georgia..this would be a great place to stop for lunch or dinner.
This is a nice little spot right in the heart of town. I had the country fried steak and tried fried okra for the first time. The waitress was very friendly. The portions were decent sized and tasty. I found this place to be on the filthier side, and the silverware was old and the glasses were dirty. If it cleaned up a little bit and updated it would have been much more pleasurable experience.
I was pleasantly surprised! This was tasty food and kind service. I recommend comfort favorites that take preparation as the chef here knows what they're doing.
Nice little town on our way to Savanna. This restaurant is on the square with a few other local restaurants located as well. Wait staff is very friendly. Roast Beef and gravy Po’boy was very good as well as the Chicken Marsala.
Wasnt very impressed. Slow service, food wasnt that good either. Doubt we go back...
Great Service By KAYLEE And Food Was Delicious By TeamPJ’S (Chef Gaffney) !
Awesome food and live music too!!
Great music and great food. Amanda our server was excellent.
Nice easygoing atmosphere,good food
Beautiful renovation! Great food and friendly service!
Delicious food friendly southern atmosphere and charm,in a beautiful setting ,small town atmosphere, everyone should visit, much history, also try Grits Cafe while visiting. Not far from Atlanta Ga.
This is one of our favorite after church spots for Sunday. Diverse menu and cozy atmosphere.
The food is delicious, the portions are large and the prices are fair. The service is quick , professional , the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is pleasant.
Good place to hold our Rotary Club Meetings
The service was great and fast. The chicken parmesan was great too
Terrific food. Great music. Nice atmosphere.
We decided to come here for our anniversary based on the previous reviews. The whole experience was not what we expected. I ordered the green beans as my side. I asked how they were prepared and was told that they were sautéed. What was presented was not even close to sautéed green beans. They came from a can! My boyfriend ordered chicken cordon blue with mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes were instant mashed potatoes! So if you want to experience something similar, go to your local grocery store and pick up a frozen dinner. It will taste the same and you will save money! Stay away. It’s not worth it!
Super slow service and mediocre food. Second time going for me and third time for my wife, all experiences the same. Only reason I gave it 2 stars was because they had nice atmosphere with live music. I'll be swapping my other $25 coupon previously bought for PJs to another restaurant.
Really nice place to visit after hours on a cool fall Saturday night. We really liked the live music and the fact that they stayed open a little later to accommodate us. The food was very good. Crab cakes and the very large helping of chicken fingers were just what we needed to finish the night. Thank you all so such. You have a good thing going on here in McDonough!
I was attending a painting class in the square and decided to stop by for a quick appetizer or something small. In an attempt for a quick "snack", I was left wanting to return for more! I tried the lobster bisque soup and a small side of fried green tomatoes. I honestly thought the food would be generic but I was thoroughly impressed. I cant wait to go back!
My husband and I went in at 2:30 on Sunday afternoon. First time there and unaware they closed at 3. We were seated with no problem but when I looked over at the bar area there was a man who I asked if he was a cook and the waitress said no he was the owner. When we were seated I noticed him looking at his watch then giving a discusted look at us. Did not feel welcome and the food was bland. We had chicken salad sandwiches and diet Coke. $31.00 before the tip. Waitress was nice and friendly and told us "Paul" did not mean the look to upset us. He should have come over, not to have the waitress tell us. Won't be back.
Very nice, place. Its laid back, and the service was very nice. We went there after church service on a Sunday. We were welcomed and seated quickly. The food was good. Will definitely go back.
Our server was very prompt to take our drink order and then our dinner order. We were there before 6pm. They have an EARLY BIRD menu. While we didn't order from that menu, the choices and prices were good. They serve Bread and butter when you're seated...we got our dinner in a very reasonable amount of time and it tasted great. Our server was very nice and very attentive. No empty glasses here! Its definitely worth a try when you're close!!!
One of the best atmospheres of any restaurant in McDonough. The mural is awesome, and the live music by Danny Greyshock is always a plus!
I sent my friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are flavorable and the stuff is very friendly and cooperative. Whenever we visit this place we have a gorgeous evening. warmly recommended.
Good food, live music on weekends
The food and the service is great.
